Beloved cartoon character Winnie the Pooh has been banned from a Polish playground over his “dubious sexuality” and “inappropriate” dress.

The issue was raised during a local council meeting in the town of Tuszyn, when attendees were asked which character they would like to see as the ‘face’ of their playground.

The suggestion of Pooh garnered criticism from members of the council and the public, with one councillor branding the yellow bear a “hermaphrodite”.

The heated discussion was secretly recorded by one of the councillors, who went on to leak comments from the debate to the press.

The issue of Pooh’s modest attire was a major cause for concern, with one attendee complaining that his dress sets a bad example for children.

“The problem with that bear is it doesn’t have a complete wardrobe,” said a male attendee, adding, “It is half naked which is wholly inappropriate for children.”

According to the Croatian Times, another councillor blasted the books’ author, A.A. Milne, over giving Pooh ‘identity issues’.

“This is very disturbing, but you can imagine! The author was over 60 and cut [Pooh’s] testicles off with a razor blade because he had a problem with his identity,” said the female councillor.

Needless to say, the council voted against using Pooh in their playground campaign.
