While his son may stand out from the crowd in some situations because he has Down Syndrome, Alan Lawrence was eager to ensure his one-year-old boy stood out from the crowd in every situation he found himself in.

As opposed to wanting his little boy,Wil, to fit in, proud dad Alan made it his mission for little Wil to stand out by giving him a very special power and documenting it at every opportunity.

Whether Wil is in the supermarket, grabbing some lunch or playing with his siblings, Alan makes sure that everyone knows his gorgeous little boy can fly!

In a series of incredibly touching photographs, dad-of-five Alan from Utah celebrates his youngest son's uniqueness and hopes to inspire those with Down Syndrome in the process.

Opening up about the project which involves editing himself out of the shot so little Will can be seen flying unaided, Alan said: "These photos of Wil flying have taken on a special meaning for me as I think about the unique challenges Wil is going to face growing up."

Alan hopes the message behind the fantastic photos will play a part in Wil's future, saying: "I hope to teach him that even with his disabilities he can do anything he puts his mind to."

Alan hopes to inspire and support families like his own by launching a project entitled Bringing The Light.

What a fantastic endeavour!
