We admit it, here at MummyPages HQ, we're complete suckers for a little romance.

Whether it comes in the form of an extravagant proposal or arrives as a simple declaration of appreciation, nothing delights us more than the fact that true love exists in various shapes and sizes.

With that in mind, we simply couldn’t pass up the opportunity to offer our congratulations to one incredibly sweet couple who recently reached a relationship milestone most of us could only dream of.

On Friday, at the grand old age of 110, Karam Chand celebrated his 90th wedding anniversary with wife, Kartari, much to the delight of their extended family.

Commenting on his parents’ incredible celebration, son Paul said: “To be aged 110 and to be so healthy is a huge milestone for anyone. We are still trying to come up with names for what you would call a 90th anniversary, as it is such an achievement.”

The couple, who moved to Bradford in West Yorkshire 40 years after they first wed, tied the knot in a Sikh ceremony in 1925 when India was still under British rule.

The pair, who together share 27 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren, are their family’s pride and joy, with Paul continuing: “It is a blessing to have them still around and to have them still telling me what to do.”

When combined, much-loved Karam and his equally adored wife Katari’s age comes to a whopping 213 years making them the world's oldest married couple.

What a heartwarming journey they’ve been on together!
