Last night’s episode of Call The Midwife tugged on our heartstrings yet again. The show is better than before this year and we simply can’t get enough of it.
The episode gave us another glimpse into little Mae’s relationship with the Turner family. Patrick and Shelagh kindly fostered young Mae at the start of the series, but it looks like the doting parents may have to say goodbye to their foster daughter, despite how close they have become.
Viewers have watched young Mae flourish from a shy, timid girl to a bubbly, content child. She has grown close to both Patrick and Shelagh’s children- Tim and Angela- but despite their strong relationship, a new home has been found for Mae.
Shelagh and Patrick were devastated when they met with an agency worker who informed them that Mae would have very little memory of her time with them.

We all know how happy Mae and the Turners would be if they adopted her. She has become part of their family over the past few months so it would break our hearts to see her go.
Fans of the show commented on the devastating storyline: “Shelagh and Patrick can’t lose Mae.”

“If Shelagh and Patrick don't adopt Mae I'm gonna cry,” another said.
We do hope the Turners and Mae stay together. We’ll have to wait until next Sunday to find out if Shelagh will follow her heart or not.
