He recently owned up to that Father’s Day baby ‘fail’ that was spotted by so many social media users, but there is another aspect of parenting that Ryan Reynolds is feeling a little apprehensive about.
The 38-year-old was busy promoting his forthcoming movie Deadpool this week, when he jokingly revealed that he is terrified daughter James’ first word will be an expletive.
Ryan made the revelation after telling a Comic-Con interviewer that his seven-month-old had spent a lot of time on set, visiting with mum Blake Lively.
“She’s going to learn those words eventually anyway. If her first word is ‘f**k’, then I’ve done something wrong, but otherwise I think we’re fine. I think we’re okay,” he said.
True to his reputation as one of the funniest actors around, he added: “The second or third word, that’s fine. But the first? No. It’s going to have to be ‘mom’ or ‘dad’. I’m rooting for mom.”
Ryan has found himself at the centre of scrutiny in recent times, after wife Blake posted a photo of him carrying his baby incorrectly. He went on to anger fans further last week, when he jokingly suggested that he wanted to put his daughter in a ‘cage’.
