Frankie Bridge from the Saturdays had to miss out on the ITV Gala Ball yesterday, for a reason that would make any parent want to stay home.
In an Instagram post to her 901K followers, Frankie shared a selfie with son Parker, who fell ill. The two definitely look like they haven’t had the easiest day.
The Glamour Award-winner captioned the pic, “The face of a proud emotionally drained Mum whose child has been really poorly and scared her half to death and a child who is the prime example of how well and quickly they bounce back,”
Her four-year-old came down with a case of croup, a respiratory infection that affects about 15 percent of children at some point in their youth.
“This little man is so full of love and this surprise hug felt more amazing than he will ever know... not sure who was looking after who...?” the Cannonball co-presenter continued in the post.
We know that feeling! Our little ones don't realize how much strength they give us.
The former pop star has two beautiful boys with husband and footballer Wayne Bridge: Parker and two-year-old Carter.
The mum-of-two knows the perfect cure for anything, saying that ‘cuddles and Christmas movies are the order of the day’.
We want her to look after us when we’re sick!
Fans sent their get-well-wishes to the singer and resilient little Parker.
“It’s the worst feeling in the world, your baby being unwell! Hope he’s well!” one Instagram user commented.
Another fan agreed, adding, “Scariest feeling as a mum - watching helplessly as they suffer. Hugs and prayers for a quick recovery. Lots of rest and TLC needed for you all.”
“I know how you feel my boy gets croup quite a lot been to hospital about 4 times with it, it's most scary thing ever! Hope your little boy is better soon,” one parent shared.
We’re glad Parker has gotten better so quickly, and here's hoping he's fully back on his feet soon!
