It was just yesterday that CCTV footage from the US was released, showing a topless man attempting to abduct a child from a supermarket; the following, however, comes from much closer to home.

Authorities have released video footage showing a 12-year-old girl rolling out of a moving car, as a thief drives off – with her baby brother strapped into the backseat.

According to reports, the little girl and her brother were waiting in the car as their mother ran errands, in Enfield, England.

Martin Cawley, 19, seized the opportunity to make off with the vehicle, and got into the driver’s seat with both children inside.

CCTV cameras nearby captured Cawley driving off, with the frightened little girl rolling out of the passenger door shortly after it began moving.

The mother is said to have run out to find her daughter lying in the road, and she immediately called the police to report her car stolen with her child inside.

Thankfully, police found the baby boy on a nearby doorstep; he had been left there by Cawley, and found by a couple.

Standing before Wood Green Crown Court in London this week, Cawley pleaded guilty to charges of kidnap, child abduction and aggravated vehicle taking. He is due to be sentenced at a later date.

Thank heavens these little ones are OK.
