Kevin McCann was driving with partner Jennifer Macnamara when a row broke out after he broke wind. Clearly the fighting was too much for Kevin, who proceeded to throw Jennifer’s Shane Filan CD out of the window and onto the M74 in a fit of rage.
What poor Kevin didn’t know, however, was that the CD was personally signed by the singer, and was one of Jennifer’s most beloved possessions in the world.
Needless to say, Jennifer was not happy, and relegated Kevin to the couch for the festive season.
Opening up on the incident to the Irish Mirror, Kevin said: “When it went out, she called me a horrible person and explained it had been signed and was also a gift from friends. Then she had a good cry which made me feel horrendous.”
In a bid to get back in Jennifer’s good books, Kevin wrote to Shane Filan himself to see if he could provide a replacement in time for Christmas. Enlisting the help of his young daughter Mirren, Kevin even went so far as to record a video in which he said: “No amount of me claiming it probably wasn’t you that signed it in the first place would calm her down.”
In an update that occurred in the past hour, sure enough, Shane has come through with the goods. He tweeted: "Got you covered Kevin! You'll be off the couch soon! Signed Album on the way to you Merry Christmas Jennifer!"
