A town in Memphis, Tennessee has been left in shock following a brutal attack and sexual assault on an 11-year-old girl.
According to reports, the little girl was walking to school early on Monday morning, when she was allegedly struck by a blue SUV.
The child’s mother confirmed that the male driver then ‘snatched her, put her in the truck, raped her, and then dropped her off’.

The child was later found in a ditch at the side of the road, ‘battered and bruised’.
Larry Ward, 20, has since been arrested and charged with aggravated kidnapping, rape of a child and aggravated assault.
A local police rep confirmed the news, saying that the force are taking the case extremely seriously.
“He’s our top priority. I mean, anytime you have anything like that happening with juveniles, kids on the way to school…kids are our prized possession,” he said.
