Simon Harris has opened up about how becoming a dad has changed his perspective on life. The Minister for Health welcomed his first child, a daughter named Saoirse, three weeks ago.
Simon and his wife Caoimhe have been busy embracing every second of parenthood since their daughter Saoirse was born in January.
The dad took to Instagram to gush about their newborn daughter.
He posted the cutest photo of Saoirse to his Instagram account- just look at her big eyes.
Alongside the adorable photo, Simon got honest about how his view has changed since Saoirse was born.
“3 weeks old today. What is important in life!!” he wrote.
Commenting on becoming a parent for the first time, Simon said it “changes your perspective in so many ways.”
“Everything I do I do wanting to make sure she grows up in a country that will care for her and all our children and give them every chance,” Simon added.
The Health Minister announced Saoirse’s arrival on January 18 by posting a series of photos from the hospital where his little girl was born.
“Today I take on my most important job - Dad! Caoimhe and I are delighted to welcome our beautiful little daughter into the world. Who knew you could be so bowled over and blown away,” the doting dad wrote at the time of his daughter’s arrival.
