Recently, actress Kym Marsh opened up on a terrifying ordeal where she thought she might lose her son, and now singer Bryan Ferry has shared a similarly shocking story.
In an interview due to be aired on The Jonathan Ross Show, the 63-year-old former Roxy Music frontman recalled the horrific moment when he learned that his son, Merlin, had been in a serious car accident before Christmas.
Recounting the moment that he got the “pretty bad” phone call about his 24-year-old son’s accident, he said: “Merlin was in this head-on collision and, thanks first to the firemen in Shropshire and the Queen Elizabeth Hospital doctors and nurses, he’s making an amazing recovery.”
Bryan went on to reveal that Merlin sustained a head injury as well as multiple fractures to his legs, pelvis and left arm.
Admitting that he had definitely been in the ‘danger zone’ at one point, Bryan added: “It was that time of the year when you want to celebrate, and so it was a pretty dark time for us.”
Merlin, who reportedly had to be cut out of the wreckage of the vehicle, made his first steps after the crash in January, with his older brother Otis sharing a photo of him leaning on a crutch to his Twitter page.
We can’t imagine how terrifying this must have been. We hope that Merlin makes a full and speedy recovery.
