It’s really entertaining TV and the good news is, First Dates is now coming to Ireland.

First Dates Ireland will start on RTÉ2 this Thursday 21st April at 9.30pm and we just can’t wait.

If you do watch the Channel 4 version, you’ll have wondered more than once or twice what our very own would be like on the telly.

Well wonder no more because we’ll finally get to see all our singletons in action.

With 150 hopeful couples aged from 18 to 75, the six-part series will be headed up by maître d’ Mateo Sania and his team; barman Ethan Miles and waitress Alice Carr.

Channel controller of RTÉ2, Bill Malone said:

“I’m delighted to bring First Dates Ireland to Irish viewers.  The series has been a major hit internationally and what we’ve done is taken this winning format and added our natural humour, honesty and Irish wit.  First Dates Ireland is all about real people, real drama, and I think you will find that it also has real heart, and is a perfect fit for RTÉ2”.
