A mother and her four-month-old baby are recovering this week, after a random choking incident in Kansas, US.
According to Kansas media outlets, Quisha Hill was shopping with baby Alyssa at her local Walmart supermarket when they were approached by a strange man.
The as yet unnamed man is said to have told Quisha that he was going to take her baby, and advised her to call the police.
Shockingly, the man – thought to be in his forties – then went ahead with his threat and began to choke little Alyssa in the check-out queue.
Quisha screamed for help and, thankfully, fellow shoppers came to her aid.
The man was restrained while Quisha contacted the authorities, and he was arrested shortly after by the local police.
Baby Alyssa is said to have turned red during the assault, but is expected to be fine after the ordeal.
The man, meanwhile, has been taken for medical evaluation and is expected to face criminal charges.
We are relieved to hear that little Alyssa is doing well after the incident.
