We all know that early-morning starts can be draining, so it's perhaps no surprise that most families experience frayed nerves and short tempers when attempting to make the transition from home to school each morning.

According to a survey conducted by SEAT, a child's forgetful nature and a parent's irritated reaction mean the first car journey of the day is often the most stressful.

Findings from the company's back to school driving survey indicate that the morning commute is the setting for most families raised voices, with 61% admitting they regularly argue upon turning the key in the ignition at the start of the school day.

With 88% of parents asserting they are forced to return to the family home on account of their child forgetting an essential item, it's perhaps no surprise that 70% of commuters surveyed  admit they show signs of frustration during their journey.

The company, which has recently announced the extension of its phenomenal offers across the 161 range until January 31st, discovered that while aforementioned factors mean more than half of families struggle to make it to the school gates in time, most will still find time for early morning entertainment.

Perhaps in an effort to divert attention from foul humours and hurt feelings, the vast majority of families assert they use time in the car to tune into morning radio, with Newstalk taking first-place among respondents to the survey.

Can you relate to the findings? Because we know we can!
