Many of us will be packing our bags as we head off to warmer climates this summer, often to places that don’t speak English.

However, rather that it being a hindrance, why not use it as the perfect opportunity to introduce your kids to another language.

You can even get them started with Abigail Samoun’s Little Traveler Series How Penguin Says Please and How Tiger Says Thank You before you've set foot on the plane.

Illustrated by Sarah Watts, this series introduces little readers to other languages in a simple, fun and vibrant way. In How Tiger Says Thank You, kids are taught how to say thank you in seven different languages, and even explains how to say it phonetically.

How Penguin Says Please uses the same approach, although this time it’s teaching youngsters how to say please.

The board books are small and travel-friendly and contain illustrations that your little one is sure to love.

A great way to keep the kids entertained on long journeys, and they’ll learn something new without even realising.

Published by Sterling Children's Books, they are available now.
