A 17-year-old boy was tragically killed in a road accident in Co. Meath early yesterday evening.

 

He was cycling his bicycle, which was involved in a collision with a minibus around 5pm, BreakingNews.ie reports.

 

The teen was fatally injured in the accident, which occurred on the Golf Links Road in Bettystown.

 

 

The bus driver is a man in his mid-50s. He did not sustain any injuries in the crash.

 

The 17-year-old's body was taken to Navan Mortuary and a post-mortem will be conducted soon.

 

 

As well, Forensic Collision Investigators are examining the scene of the crash. As of last night, local diversions were in place due to the road remaining closed.
