Members of the public have been asked to come forward with information following a stabbing incident in Limerick this afternoon.
According to emerging reports, a teenager, who is believed to be under 16, is currently being treated in hospital after sustaining injuries during an attack near the Thomondgate area at around 3.30pm.
It is understood that Gardaí at Mayorstone have launched an investigation into today's shocking incident and are currently being assisted by another teenager.
Thankfully, the injuries sustained by the teenage are not thought to be serious.
