If you constantly have to remind your children that dismissing certain activities on the grounds that they require too much effort or take up too much time is the wrong way to approach extracurricular pursuits, it may be worth showing them a video which has taken the internet by storm this month.

15-year-old Alexey Romanov from Russia has astounded people all over the world by giving a piano masterclass despite being born without fingers or hands.

The supremely talented young man, who has only been playing the piano for a year and a half, refuses to let his disability prevent him from pursuing his hobby, telling Ruptly TV: "My friends shared music with me and if I liked something I would find the notes and try to understand it myself."

Reflecting on the progress he has made over the course of the last 18 months, Alexey, who has always had an interest in classical music, explained: "At first I played the simplest things such as Jingle Bells but now I can learn some more serious works."

Alexey, who ony learned to read music three weeks ago, taught himself how to play by ear before performing in a concert with the Kazan Chamber Orchestra La Primavera.

This has got to be one of the most inspiring videos we have ever seen, so be sure to show any little person in your life who is currently struggling to stay motivated!

Share to spread the word of Alexey's incredible talent.
