There is sad news this afternoon as it has been revealed that a woman and boy, who is believed to be ten, were hit by a car being pursued by police.
The tragedy happened in Penge, southeast London, when the driver of a reportedly stolen car lost control and ploughed into the family that was walking down Lennard Road.

A eyewitness told SkyNews that people tied to lift the car off a little girl, saying: "It was a horrific scene on a sunny afternoon in a sleepy place.
"He lost control and ploughed into a family that was walking on the pavement down Lennard Road. People were trying to lift a car off a little girl. The police officers that were chasing were distraught."
"They moved up to Parish Lane and ploughed into a family," Tayla Goodman told Sky News.
"Some of the eyewitnesses have said a man's been killed. I saw children running away from there in absolute tears, unable to speak.
"It just looked like complete carnage, it was awful. A woman ran through the police tape shouting 'that's my baby!'"

Three ambulance crews, two incident response officers, an advanced paramedic and London's Air Ambulance all arrived at the incident.
A spokesperson for the ambulance service confirmed two people died at the scene and three others, all girls, were taken to hospital with multiple injuries.
