For Autumn/Winter 2013, Childrenswear is going back to its roots with fun and funky collections that allow kids to dress  like kids.Motifs, prints and patterns are all child-friendly  without being childish. While the”Mini Me” look is still prevalent, especially in brands such as Gant, Ralph Lauren and Mamas and Papas, a more youthful and playful aesthetic abounds.

Prints take inspiration from the animal outdoors this AW13 with collections from Pampolina and Little Pieces. Boys enjoy space prints, monsters and once again animals which dominate collections including Hatley and Lily & Sid. Baby collections from Steiff, Anna Fie and Emile et Rose feature teddy bears, rabbit prints, and soft check print, suitably cute for this age range.

French Connection and Animal bring a contemporary edge to AW13 for cool little dudes while we look to brands Torres and Jottum for fun and  girly occasion wear. Barbour remains a staple for all winter wardrobes with their quintessential diamond pattern jackets. Also worth mentioning are Polarn O Pyret who bring a strong collection of ‘child proof’ clothing while Du Pareil au Meme offer punchy dramatic clothing with bright heritage
