We’ve all felt the heartbreak of finding the perfect Christmas tree only to realise it’s far too tall for our house.
Forced to take home a smaller - and let’s face it, less majestic – tree, we cover that bad boy with as many baubles and lights as its small stature can carry in an effort to fill the void that 10ft tree left in our hearts.
Well, not this family. This family decided they wanted the giant tree and that their home would just have to adjust.
So strapping the 20 footer to the car, they went home with a genius plan of how to get the best from there tall tree.
Tweeting a picture of their accomplishment, Aidan revealed his family’s inspired hack that made their Christmas display the envy of all their neighbours.
“So this year we bought a 20ft Christmas tree,” Aidan’s tweet read.
“We cut it in half so it goes through the roof”.
