Ireland’s longest running sponsored read for children and young people takes place from 11th Oct to 11th Nov 2013.

The MS READaTHON has been a staple of the Irish school calendar for almost 30 years, encouraging children and young adults to pick up a book to raise money for people living with MS in Ireland.

This flagship fundraising campaign for MS Ireland raises money for ‘Living with MS’ programmes, support centres and an information line offering advice to people. The money raised means MS Ireland can operate essential local services for people with MS and their families.

For a whole month, children and young adults will learn the value of helping others while opening up their minds to the wonder of reading. Each child will receive a gift for their fundraising efforts, while a percentage of the money raised will be returned to schools for their own development.

All MS READaTHON Book-Bots are also entered into the Great Prize Draw for some fantastic prizes, so keep an eye out in December for the winner.
