Looking for a new family car this year? Why not go for Ireland’s best selling car, the new Nissan Qashqai.
Figures released by the Society of the Irish Motor Industry (SIMI) show the all new Nissan Qashqai Range as the most popular car of choice in Ireland for March.
Despite only coming onto the market at the end of January, the family car is proving to be a very popular choice with Irish consumers. To date, Nissan have sold 2,057 new Qashqai’s which accounts for 4.12% of the total car market.
James McCarthy, Chief Executive of Nissan Ireland, credits the style, technology, driving excitement and most importantly value for money on the car’s huge success.
Commenting on the success, McCarthy said: “We are delighted that the new Nissan Qashqai is once again proving to be one of the most popular cars on the market. The previous model pioneered a whole new type of car and surpassed all expectations, selling over 20,000 units to Irish customers since it was originally launched in 2007. It was hard to see how this level of success could be maintained with an ever-increasing set of competitors following in its footsteps - until we saw the all new model late last year.”
