Everyone loves a joyful piece of baby news, and 2015 was the year that mums- and dads-to-be really pulled out the stops when it came to making their wonderful announcements. Here are some of our favourites.
1. Buns in the oven
Number one on our list has to go to Dana and Arkell Graves, for their incredibly moving baby announcement. After years of fertility struggles, Dana finally received the news the couple had waited for - they were expecting. When she asked Arkell to take out the 'buns in the oven' as they prepared dinner, the literal meaning of her words sank in - and his reaction was incredible.
2. Tom and Giovanna Fletcher's 'Player 2'
Ever since that incredible wedding video, the world has fallen in love with McFly star Tom and his author wife. They have delighted us with their insights into life with first child Buzz, so you can only imagine the excitement when they announced they were pregnant with baby number two. Their creative video game-themed announcement introduced 'Player 2' in the sweetest way.
3. The taste test
Vlogger Corey Williams had the wool pulled over his eyes in more ways than one this year, when his wife Kristen set up a very special blindfolded taste test for his YouTube channel. Corey had no idea that Kristen was using the game as a way of revealing a very big surprise - she is pregnant. The penny finally dropped when she fed him some of his old favourite baby food - and his reaction was as epic as she had hoped.
4. Kim Kardashian and Kanye West
Given just how well publicised their fertility struggles had been, with sources claiming Kim may not have been able to conceive again, the news that she and Kanye were expecting baby number two was wonderful. In true Kardashian style, it was announced before the cameras on family reality show Keeping Up with the Kardashians, and they went on to welcome son Saint this month.
5. The unexpected gift
Chad Reay's birthday was coming up, and there was one thing that he really wanted - an Apple Watch. However, when wife Catie presented him what what appeared to be a box containing the dream gift, he got a surprise - it wasn't an Apple Watch, but something even better. Chad couldn't quite believe his eyes when he found a positive pregnancy test inside, and it made for some very emotional viewing. The best present ever, clearly!
6. Simon Gregson's beer belly
The much loved Coronation Street character had fans in stitches this summer, when he used his 'beer belly' to announce that wife Emma was expecting. Things took a heartbreaking turn for the couple, when they later revealed that they had initially been set to welcome twins, but one of the babies had not survived. The couple, who are already parents to two sons, welcomed another little boy to their beautiful family in December.

7. The ‘I’m not the father’ T-shirt
Reddit user MeggoEggo1 and her wife decided to announce their baby news with a tongue-in-cheek T-shirt reveal. The internet was left in stitches after she shared a photo of herself holding her tummy, her T-shirt reading ‘I’m pregnant’, with her partner’s shirt emblazoned with the words ‘I’m not the father’. Well played, ladies!
8. Suzanne Shaw's video announcement
The former Hear'say and Emmerdale star took us all along on her pregnancy journey this year through her vlog, starting with this announcement video. In it, Suzanne recorded herself surprising partner Sam with her positive test, and we witnessed the sheer joy of their reactions. Possibly the best thing about this announcement was Suzanne's son Corey's reaction - he wasn't best pleased to begin with! No doubt this proved relatable and even a little comforting for other families stuck in a similar scenario. The family went on to welcome a baby boy, Rafferty.
9. The timelapse announcement
Nick and Ari-Ann Rollins marked their first pregnancy with one of the most beautiful announcements we have ever seen – an illustrated timelapse that was carried out using nothing but a pencil, paper and a video camera.
10. Chrissy Teigen and John Legend
Chrissy's journey to pregnancy taught us all a lesson - you never truly know what is going on in another person's life, and you need to be sensitive to this at all times. Just weeks after an emotional TV appearance during which she admitted she and her musician husband had been trying for a long time to have a baby, amid intense media scrutiny, she shared some wonderful news - she was expecting. She is reportedly due next July.
