If you have young kids then you will no doubt be familiar with the children’s musical group The Wiggles. This group have created a catalogue of music, television, video and film that have proven to be modern classics in children’s entertainment.
This May The Wiggles bring their Greatest Hits Tour to Ireland. The show will come to the Grand Canal Theatre on Sunday 22nd May for 2 performances only.
In 2011 the band will celebrate their 20th birthday so with twenty years of hits such as ‘Hot Potato’, ‘Fruit Salad’, ‘Rock A Bye Your Bear’ and ‘Toot Toot Chugga Chugga Big Red Car’ the show will be jam packed with audience favourites.
Murray Cook (Red Wiggle) said: “It’s quite amazing to us that we’ve been together 20 years! We thought in the beginning we’d record a one off album. We had no thoughts of it being a career and here we are still going strong and still really enjoying it. It’s an amazing milestone for us because we didn’t think there would be one year, let alone 20!”
Joining Jeff, Anthony, Murray and Sam on stage as always will be their Wiggly friends Dorothy the Dinosaur, Captain Feathersword, Wags the Dog and Henry the Octopus.
