Dolly-Ann Osterloh has decided to open her London flat to the public, who will have the opportunity to buy her belongings.

The interior designer is desperately trying to raise funds for her beloved pet Snoopy, who needs a life-saving heart operation.

Last month, Snoopy was diagnosed with mitral valve disease, which is common in small dogs. Mitral valve disease is a heart disease, which impacts one in 10 dogs. The disease, also known as leaky valve disease, occurs when the valves in a dog’s heart leak and send blood flowing in the wrong direction.

Dolly was told that there was no cure for this horrible illness; however, her research led her to a Facebook group about a treatment that would fully restore Snoopy's health and add another nine years onto his life span.

The problem with this treatment is the cost; the operation, which is due to take place on September 19 in Paris, costs £37,000.

Dolly has raised a huge chunk of the fee so far thanks to a bank loan, savings, donations from her loved ones, as well as a Go Fund Me campaign which has raised over £7000 alone.

She has reached the final hurdle and has decided to raise the remaining £9000 by selling her personal belongings.

In an interview with the Guardian, she said, “You can buy anything you see... My clothes, my furniture, my makeup, even the lock on my door if you wish … except my dog. There will be a price for everything, people can look into my cupboard and say: ‘I want your salt and pepper.’ I will be OK without salt and pepper for a month.”

Opening the doors to her home and giving up everything she owns was a drastic and difficult step for Dolly to make, but Snoopy is part of her family.

The former actress said, “There’s nothing more valuable to me – all these material things don’t really mean anything to me compared to my dog.”

Dolly adopted Snoopy nine years ago when she visited a dog shelter in the United States.

Snoopy had been abandoned by his previous owners and was found in a dustbin during Christmas time.

The Yorkie-Chi has been a huge part of Dolly’s life, and she believes that inviting the public into her home in Paddington, London, is the only way she can raise the final part of the fee.

The sale will take place for 24 hours on Friday, September 8, in Dolly’s London apartment. People can also take part online by tuning into a live stream, where they can make offers on the interior designer's belongings.
