Welcoming a new child into your life is incredible and rewarding, but the adoption process – particularly where different countries are involved – can prove extremely challenging for some parents.

This turned out to be the case for US couple Jennifer and James Grover, who legally adopted their sons almost three years ago, but only got to meet them this month.

The Grovers were parents to three children of their own when they decided to open their arms and hearts up to three more adopted little ones. In 2012, the couple decided that they wanted to provide a home for two more boys, and they could not have been more excited to begin the process of welcoming Bronson, 7, and Joseph, 14, from the Democratic Republic of the Congo, into their lives.

However, after signing all of the documentation, the Grovers found out that the Congalese Government had put a suspension on adopted children as they waited for the US to approve the boys' visas. As a result, they had to wait almost three years for the boys to finally arrive in the US to start their new lives with the Grovers.

Happily, the long wait came to an end earlier this month, with the Grovers finally picking up their boys at the airport – and what a welcome they got. The beautiful first meeting between the boys and their parents was captured on video, and the Grovers decided to share it with the world, to remind us all of the beauty of love and family.
