When 11-year-old Landon was just five years of age he told his mother Janelle that he wanted to share the same last name as her husband whom Janelle began dating when Landon was just five-months-old.
And as of Christmas morning his wish has come true.
In heartwarming footage which is currently trending online, Landon can be seen opening a gift which confirmed that Janelle's husband Daniel had officially adopted him.
Having begun the process months previously, Daniel and Janelle waited until Christmas morning to present the official certificate to a clearly overwhelmed and much-loved little boy.
Struggling to speak as he processed the documentation in his hands, Landon shed tears before embracing Daniel.
