Parents have been trying to figure out the best way to send their little ones to sleep since, well, we would imagine the beginning of time! If you find yourself at all musically talented though, we think the following tip could well solve the problem for good.

David Motola has come to the aid of tired, sleep-deprived parents all over the world with the following beautiful video, demonstrating how he used a piano rendition of Brahm’s Lullaby to send his little one off to the Land of Nod.

Sharing the footage on his YouTube account, Bearded Piano, David revealed that five-month-old son Samuel was having trouble sleeping due to an ear ache. Having always loved Brahm’s Lullaby, he decided to carry out a little experiment to see if it would help the tot to doze off.

The result? Well, watch to the thirty-second point in the video below, and see for yourself!

Not only did Samuel fall asleep to the dulcet tones of his father’s piano playing, but he did so in a matter of mere seconds.

Speaking to Today, father-of-three David said: “I had never tried it before and wasn't sure. I was thrilled that it worked so well, as was my wife. Happy wife, happy life."

You can watch the adorable footage in the video below. Now, time to book some piano lessons, we think!
