Each day we are met with the wonderful creativity of clever mums and dads from around the world, and Ryan Myers is one such parent.

After being asked to ensure that his daughter Lilith’s name went on her school lunch bag every day, the Phoenix-based copywriter decided to use his creative talents to make her meals stand out.

Ryan decided to use popular books and movies as inspiration for Lilith’s lunch bag labels, and he shared the fruits of his labour online. With themes such as Jaws, Harry Potter and Star Wars inspiring his lunchtime creations, it wasn’t long before Ryan’s lunch bag story went viral online.

Explaining how the tradition began, Ryan told The Huffington Post: “I did it the first day, just to be silly and make her laugh. I took a picture to share on Facebook, because I figured our friends would get a kick out of it.”

“She asked me to do another one the next day, and it just kind of went from there. Some of our friends get mad if I don’t do one, now,” he added.

Of course, the proof of Ryan’s success lies in the fact that Lilith has kept every single lunch bag in her bedroom, even if she doesn’t understand all of the movie references yet.

What a lovely gesture, and what a fantastic dad!
