Anyone who has ever been there will know that Disneyland is one of the most magical places in the world, where children – and adults – feel special and happy at all times.

This is something that little Shaylee Mansfield was expecting when she headed there with her family, but there was still one surprise that lay in store for her.

Shaylee is deaf, and she attends a special school where she can learn, play and interact with other children who have hearing impairments.

She is, of course, proficient at sign language, but she had no idea that some of her very favourite characters at Disneyland would be too!

In a moving montage put together as part of Disney’s ‘Unforgettable Stories’ video series, we get to witness the moment that Shaylee met her hero, Tinkerbell – who signed with her!

As you can imagine, this bright and beaming little girl is amazed and delighted when she realises that Tink can speak her own language – and she’s just as surprised when Minnie Mouse starts to sign, too!

Speaking after the visit, Shaylee’s father said that the trip and interactions with the characters were an amazing boost for his daughter.

“It made her proud of her own language. She made that connection,” he told the camera.

This is a truly special moment – check it out below.
