Eat your heart out, John Lewis - the latest feel-good ad of the festive season is here to melt even the most scroodgiest of hearts.

The latest offering from the BBC, promoting spending time together over the Christmas holidays, has nailed the daddy-daughter bond perfectly.

Set in CGI, it tells the story about a typical daddy-daughter duo. She dances her way through the video while her father is distracted by work and well, life.

And while her overworked dad brushes her off whenever she tries to connect with him - she continues to practice tirelessly for her school talent show.

But the emotion is in the fact that her Dad was listening all along, and when she falters at her school show, he jumps up and repeats the dance moves for her.

(We are openly weeping here)

Her lip wobbles but she bravely copies her dad and soon he is up beside her giving it socks.

This is dad dancing at its very best.

It is a video that balances perfectly the sentimentality of relationships and makes us all stop and think about the importance of prioritising our little ones. Tis the season and all that!

Watch it now  - but be warned, you will be in a whole world of snot afterwards.
