On days like these, when the world is almost in mourning over the news of Donald Trump’s election win, it’s worth being reminded that there are some amazing, courageous and kind-hearted people in the world.

One such person is 12-year-old Campbell Remess, from Tasmania, who has brought joy and comfort to hundreds of sick little children in need.

As part of his own project, Project 365, Campbell sews teddy-bears and then hands them out to sick children in hospital.

Over the space of three years, Campbell has created over 800 teddy-bears and raised thousands for charities and other worthy causes.

The idea came to Campbell back in 2013 when he discovered the joy of giving, by handing out flowers to strangers on Christmas Eve.

Committed to making a positive difference in the world, Campbell decided to make his own teddies and then deliver them to sick children, in the hopes of lifting their spirits.

He sewed one teddy-bear a day, every day for the next year, purchasing the materials with his own pocket-money and sewing them on a machine in his bedroom.

Since raising awareness of Project 365 across social media, word of Campbell’s amazing work has spread and he now receives donations and even orders for his teddies.

Writing on his website, the incredible little boy recently revealed: “So far, for 2016, I have made over 400 presents and raised $5,241 for fundraisers.”

What a total inspiration. If you want to help Campbell with his work, check out his website through this link.
