Throughout her pregnancy, Sharry Buhanan-Decker wrote and recorded songs for her baby boy to hear once he was born.

In June, 29-year-old Sharry died during an emergency C-section giving birth to her first child, JJ.

Weeks after her death her husband Jared found the music she had recorded for their son on her computer but couldn't hear them due to the file format.

Fearful that he would never be able to hear his wife's voice again, Jared asked Reddit users for their help.

“My wife recently died during the childbirth of our first baby, needless to say life has been hell the last two months," he said in his post.

“She dabbled in writing and recording songs - nothing professional of course - but very important to me. I found her backups … I just want to be able to hear her voice again.”

Quick to answer his plea, Reddit users everywhere helped Jared unlock the files and listen to his wife sing once again.

The pair's son was able to hear his mother's voice for the first time and now "lights up" whenever he hears her according to Jared.

“JJ is my anchor and my salvation in my life right now. He is exhausting, demanding and stressful, but he is my best friend, my everything," Jared told Today.

"He is a literal piece of my lost soul mate and I love him more than I thought possible."
