Time to check your fridge: this popular soup is being recalled

The colder weather means that we are seeking out hearty, winter warming foods.

However, if this popular soup is in your fridge, do not consume it.

The Food Safety Authority of Ireland (FSAI) is recalling the product because of incorrect labelling.

The soup in question is Cully and Sully Smoked Haddock and Salmon Chowder, with a use-by date: 23.11.2018; batch: 01; pack size: 400g.

The food authority has said the batch is unsafe for consumers who are allergic to or intolerant of molluscs (mussels).

Molluscs (mussels) were undeclared on the label of the batch of the Cully and Sully soup.

If you have purchased a tub from the affected batch, you can bring the soup back to the supermarket for a full refund or a replacement of the product.
