Grab your cowboy boots and strap on your space helmet – Toy Story Land is set to open in Walt Disney World in summer 2018!

This Tuesday Disney offered a sneak peek of what it’ll be like to dine in Toy Story Land.

The restaurant is called Woody’s Lunch Box, and it is exactly what you’d think – a giant lunchbox and thermos!

Woody’s Lunch Box will be offering old-fashioned soda floats and scrumptious food for hungry park-goers. Count us in!

The 11-acre park expansion promises to be whimsical and exciting as ‘guests will shrink to the size of a toy and explore all of the fun (and toys!) Andy has constructed in his backyard’.

If you’re looking for some thrills, the Slinky Dog Dash looks like the perfect place. It’s a roller coaster designed by Disney’s Imagineers to look like our favourite springy dog, and one of the main two attractions in Toy Story Land. The Imagineers designed the ride to be reminiscent of a Slinky toy’s unique movement.

The Slinky Dog Dash already arrived at the park for testing last month and we are barking mad with excitement.

Disney announced Toy Story Land via Instagram this past July. The painted rendering of the park is magical and making all of us feel like kids again.

The other main attraction is Alien Swirling Saucers, featuring those funny little extra-terrestrials from Pizza Planet. Disney says that in the ride, ‘Aliens are flying around in their toy flying saucers and trying to capture guests’ rocket toy vehicles with “The Claw”.’

It sounds out-of-this-world!

While Toy Story Land won’t be opening in Disney World until summer 2018, we are living for the updates.

What do you think of this first look at the park? Which of your favourite Toy Story characters do you hope to see featured?

Also… who wants to buy us plane tickets to Florida next summer?
