Pixar fans, rejoice! We have an official release date for Toy Story 4. The hotly anticipated movie will hit summers next summer.

Fans can look forward to seeing Buzz, Woody, Rex, Mr Potato Head and co. on June 21, 2019.

The fourth installment in the Pixar series is said to feature the love story between Woody and Bo Beep- How adorable!

It’s safe to say fans are thrilled about the upcoming release: “Oooh the excitement. I can’t wait to have my childhood brought back to life once more. It is unbearably amazing.”

“I know how I’m spending my birthday June of 2019!” one woman tweeted.

However, others argued that a fourth movie was unnecessary, “I love the series but honestly, this movie doesn't need to happen AT ALL. The 3rd closed the series beautifully.”

The fourth installment of the much-loved franchise will be released nearly a decade after Toy Story 3 where fans waved goodbye to Andy as he embarked on his new life as a college student.

The creative team behind the beloved franchise spent so long working on the fourth flick because they wanted to ensure the storyline was flawless.

Speaking to CNBC, Disney Chief Creative Officer John Lasseter said they would never release a film unless the storyline was perfect.

He shared, “At Pixar and at Disney, we only make sequels if we come up with a story that's as good or better than the original.”

He added, “That's our rule. We don't do things just to print money.”
