Cape Crusader
To create the look simply punch a hole in both the upper left and right corners of the black bag. Secure the cape to the child by threading string through the holes and tying at the neck. Draw on a mask using black eyeliner. Make up a superhero logo and glue one to the front of your child's top and one to the back of the cape. Finish by dressing your child in coloured clothes.

Wizard
To make the wizard’s gown cut a hole at the top of a black bag to fit over your child's head and one on either side for arms.To make the hat roll a piece of black paper into a cone shape and secure using an elastic band. Cut stars out of yellow paper and glue them onto the front and back of the gown and the hat. Dress your child in black clothes and put the dress over. To finish paint on a fake beard.

Dracula
Make Dracula’s cape by cutting down the middle of a black bag so that it opens up. Glue a piece of cardboard to the top of the cape to make the high collar and tie a piece of ribbon around it to secure to your child's neck. Dress your child in a white shirt and black trousers. Use a red lip liner to draw blood dripping from their mouth and powder their face in flour. To complete the look gel back your child’s hair.

Witch
To make the witch costume you will need two black bin bags. Use one to make a cape and the other to make the witch’s dress. Cut a hole at the top of the bag to fit your child’s head and one on either side for arms. Cut the bottom into zig-zag shapes. Dress your child in black clothes and put the dress over them. Pin the cape to your child’s top. To complete the look paint their face green, pop on a pair of stripy socks and a witch’s hat.

Bat
This costume is really easy to make and looks really good. Simply cut bat wing shapes out of a black bag. Dress your child in black clothes and secure the wings to the underside of your child’s arm and the side of their body - when they move their arms it looks like they are flying. Make bat ears by cutting two triangles out of black paper and secure to a black hair band.

Bumblebee
This is really impressive yet so simple. Cut three holes in the plastic bag: one at the top large enough to fit a head and one on either side for the arms. Glue long yellow paper stripes on both sides of the black bag. To make the antenna, simply tie two pipe cleaners to a hair band and curl the top of them. Dress your child in black and pop the body of the bee on. To achieve the round look tie the end of the bag so that it is tight around the body. Scrunch newspaper into balls and stuff them into the arm or head openings. Continue until the body of the bee is filled out.

Skeleton
This is really easy to make and is great if you are really stuck for time. All you need is a black bag and masking tape. Simply cut a hole at the top of the black bag for the head and one on either side for the arms. Lay the bag down flat and shape out the bones of the skeleton using the masking tape. Dress your child in the black clothing and put the ‘skeleton body’ over their head.

Grim Reaper
Cut holes in the bag to fit your child's head and arms. Dress them in black trousers and hooded jumper and simply put the bag over them. Pop up the hood so that it covers as much of the head as possible.

To make the Grim reapers axe cut a stripe out of a black bag, long enough to cover the stick, and cut the head of the axe out of cardboard and sellotape to the stick.

Spider
Again, cut a hole for your child’s head and arms into the bag. To make the spider legs cut eight long strips out of cardboard and cover each one in black paper. Glue each leg onto the spider’s black bag body. Dress your child in black clothes. To get the spider’s round body simply ensure the bottom of the bag is secure to your child’s body and stuff newspaper balls in through the holes until the body is filled out.

Batman
Make a cape out of the black bag and punch a hole on either side. Run a piece of ribbon through the holes so that it can be easily secured to your child. Dress them in grey clothing and place a black belt around their waist. Draw a batman logo on two pieces of yellow paper and glue one to the cape and the other to your child’s top. Tie the black bin liner cape around their neck ensuring it is not too tight. To complete the look put on black boots and black gloves.
