Further messages of condolence have poured in after it was revealed that one of the victims of a fire, which swept through a Dublin halting site on Saturday morning, was a pregnant mother-of-two.

According to the Irish Independent, 27-year-old Tara Gilbert, who recently learned she was expecting a third baby, had taken to her social media channels in order to share her delight over the impending arrival.

"Today I felt happiness that I can't even remember the last time I felt it. I'm going to be a mammy again," she wrote just weeks before the blaze which claimed hers and nine other lives in the small Dublin community.

Tara, whose partner, Willy, and two children, Jodie and Kelsey, also died in the blaze which swept the halting site on Glenamuck Road South this weekend, spoke in glowing terms about her family, writing: "We are so happy and so are the girls. Another bundle of joy to add to our little family who I would die for."

The young mum often paid tribute to her children online, and in recent weeks praised her eldest daughter for preparing her pregnant mum a surprise breakfast in bed, writing: "She's just a little heart melter, she's so excited."

Devastated by the loss of life, Mary Lynch, a relative of the family wrote: "Just why be so cruel God? I can't believe it. Sylvia, Thomas, Tara, Willie, Jimmy and five kids gone."

"I can't believe it. My heart is broken in bits. My whole daddy's side of the family is gone," she wrote in a heartbreaking online message.

Highlighting the level of devastation felt as a result of this weekend's tragedy, she finished: "What are we gonna do this time? There is no way of healing the pain that everyone is going through."

According to The Telegraph, Willy's sister, Sylvia Connors, her husband, Thomas, and their three children Jim, Christy and Mary were among those who also perished in the blaze.

It is understood that Tara and her children, who are from Bray in Co. Wicklow, were staying with the Connors as part of a family gathering this weekend.
