A US father has garnered gasps-a-plenty online this week, after footage of him throwing his son head-first up to the ceiling to catch a balloon went viral.
In the footage, uploaded to YouTube, the father and his kids are seen trying to figure out how to get the bright orange balloon down from its spot on the ceiling, where it is firmly stuck.
With the child’s mother watching on eagerly, the father finally tosses the child up to the ceiling, where he grabs the balloon and pulls it with him on his way down.
If you put a group of parents into a room and had them watch this footage on a big screen, it’s likely you would be hearing a collective gasp as the child’s hair brushes the ceiling dangerously!
This little DIY solution could have ended up very differently, and we’re just glad to see that the tot didn’t get hurt.
Moral of the story: always get a ladder.
