Now that the summer holidays are in full swing many of us will be spending a lot more time outside enjoying the sunny days.

 

However, a recent attack on a family in Scotland has highlighted just how important is it to be careful when near dogs.

 

According to reports, a nine-year-old girl, a seven-year-old boy and a 49-year-old man are being treated in hospital after they were attacked by a dog yesterday evening.

 

The three, who are all believed to be from the same family, were walking in a field near Aberlemno, Forfar when they were set upon by a dog.

 

All were left with serious injuries to their faces, legs and arms and were taken to Ninewells Hospital, where they are still receiving treatment.

 

 

The incident which happened at about 5:30pm yesterday evening is currently being investigated by Scotland Police.

 

“A 49-year-old man, a nine-year-old girl and a seven-year-old boy suffered serious injuries in the incident and were taken to Ninewells Hospital where they remain and continue to receive treatment. Officers are making further enquiries into the full circumstances of the incident,” said a police spokesperson.
