According to emerging reports, a Co. Cork woman who went missing over the course of the weekend has been found safe and well.

The family of Niamh Brickley had expressed serious concern for the 37-year-old's welfare following her disappearance in the early hours of Saturday morning.

Having contacted the Gardaí who in turn appealed to the public for any information which may lead to NIamh's safe return, the Brickley family were overjoyed to learn their daughter had been located safe and well in east Cork early this morning.

Paying tribute to social media users who helped spread the news of Niamh's disappearance over the weekend, the Brickley family thanked the public for their assistance and insisted their help had been invaluable.

Speaking to the Evening Echo, Niamh's family also expressed their gratitude to the Togher gardaí and Sergeant Barry Murphy who liased with the family as they searched for Niamh and sought to spread news of her circumstances.

We're delighted to hear Niamh has been found safe and well.
