Anyone who has ever dined out with a child will know that it can be beyond frustrating – not to mention messy! Indeed, sometimes all you want is an extra pair of hands to make things a little easier.

Well, one American restaurant is setting the example for the rest of the world by doing just that.

Chicken restaurant chain Chick-fil-A has been applauded for launching ‘Mom’s Valet’ – a service invented to take the stress out of family-dining.

As part of this service, parents are asked to order their meal via the drive-through and request the valet service while there. As they park up their car and get their little ones ready to enter the restaurant, employees are preparing their food and laying it out on the table.

So, by the time the family enters the restaurant, their food is laid out and ready to be eaten, and all they need is for a member of staff to guide them over to their table.

The idea originated in one Chick-fil-A branch in Florida, back in 2012, and it has proven so successful that the entire chain has now launched the service.

“It takes the complexity out of mealtime, making it a pleasant experience for parents and their children,” a Chick-fil-A representative told The Huffington Post.

What a simple but wonderful idea – one that would certainly be appreciated on this side of the Atlantic.
