Santa is arriving early to Kildare at Santa’s Magical Trail this December. This is sure to be a huge hit with the whole family with Alice in Wonderland tea parties, Santa’s workshop, snowball fights, enchanted forests and Rudolph’s secret tunnel at the Clanard Court Hotel in Athy from Saturday 1st December.
This is the fourth year of Santa’s Magical Trail, which has raised over €25,000 in the past three years for charity. This year it is hoped that €15,000 will be raised between Temple Street Children’s Hospital and Age Action Athy, with the assistance of the Athy Musical and Dramatical Society. The trail will be open every Friday, Saturday and Sunday during December in the lead up to Christmas.
This exciting two hour trail will bring children to visit donkeys, ponies, deer, sheep, geese, cattle and pygmy goats at Santa’s farm. You will also get to have a sneak peek into the elves bedroom, a special tour around Santa’s house from Mrs. Clause, with time to write and post a letter to Santa. Kids big and small will love the snowball fight in the North Pole Snow Room and a trip on Santa’s Magical Carriage around the farm, before meeting the main man himself in his magical grotto. Not only will you get to chat to Santa, but you will get a little present to take home.

For those who want the ultimate family Christmas experience, the Magical Sleepover provides a fun-filled night where the kids have a dinner party with the Elves, while the parents are given a chance to unwind over dinner in Bailey’s Brasserie. Once dinner is over, the kids can help gather firewood to keep Santa and Mrs. Clause warm, bed down Rudolph and the other animals for the night, and then catch a Christmas movie with popcorn. The following morning the children wake up the animals and feed them their breakfast and also help make Santa’s bed. The Magical Sleep Over is €45 per child and €85 per adult.
