Having entered remission, Laura was unfortunately told in September that the cancer had returned and she would require further treatment.
Laura and her little boy moved to Connecticut where she received treatment at the Yale Cancer Centre.
During her treatment, Laura had to stay in hospital for three weeks meaning that her little boy James was absolutely overjoyed to be reunited with his mum when she was finally discharged.
James' aunt captured the moment the toddler saw his mum for the first time and it's a truly heartwarming.
We can only imagine how excited the pair must have been to finally throw their arms around each other!
