What can I do about my child's smelly feet?

With the activity level of a child, it’s not surprising that they may have smelly feet.
A child’s feet are always in socks and shoes and they don’t get the opportunity to breathe. Therefore, the sweat inside the shoes, along with dirt and bacteria, produce the odour.
There are a few things you can do to prevent the problem from becoming worse.

Keep your child’s feet as clean as possible. Clean your child’s feet every day to remove dirt and dead skin.

Keep your child’s feet as dry as possible. When they have been wearing their socks and shoes and sweating, make sure they remove them occasionally to let the feet breathe and dry out.

Keep your child’s shoes clean. Shoes can hold in odours, dirt, fungus, and bacteria. Launder non leather shoes frequently and use foot powder or talc in your child’s shoes.
