Anyone who has lost a loved one will know that you come to cherish special treasures even more after they are gone. This is why we will all understand and empathise with the plea of Dublin woman Suzanne Grellety today.

Ms Grellety has issued an appeal to the public, via Independent.ie, for help in locating her late husband’s wedding ring which she lost on Monday, February 8.

Following her beloved husband Olivier’s death in a boating accident, in March of 2014, Ms Grellety wears the ring on a chain around her neck.

The ring was around her neck as she left an appointment at St Vincent’s Hospital on Monday, and headed towards the Merrion Tesco Shopping Centre. It was only about an hour later that she realised the ring was missing.

Having retraced her footsteps, searching high and low for the ring, Ms Grellety is now appealing to people in and around the Dublin 4 area to keep an eye out for the precious possession.

Anyone with information can get in touch with Ms Grellety on 0863780990.
