She recently took to her social media channels to share her first bikini selfie, something which she said she did to show how proud she was of her post-baby body.

Now, mum-of-one Hilary Duff has shared her refreshingly honest thoughts on body image, revealing that even she has been intimidated by the incredible weight loss some celebrities have displayed right after giving birth.

In an interview with Shape magazine, the 27-year-old said: “There’s so much pressure to always have it together, and I’m not falling for it. You see supermodels who have babies, and the next week they look as if they were never pregnant. That was not the case with me.”

“Some days I feel great, others I feel pretty normal, and that’s acceptable,” the star added.

Hilary’s attitude towards her exercise and diet are equally refreshing, with the singer and actress admitting that being a mum gives a woman the best kind of workout.

“I rely on real-life exercise. Carrying my son, for one. He weighs 35 pounds. The other day we went to Disneyland and he fell asleep in my arms, and I had to carry him back to my car, which was a 30-minute walk. I was dying,” she revealed.

Hilary has found herself at the centre of headlines this week, with reports emerging that estranged husband Mike Comrie is looking for joint custody of son Luca, while Hilary has requested that the hockey player simply have visitation rights.
