Celebrity mum-of-two Emma Willis broke down in tears when talking about her husband Matt Willis’ time in rehab.

The 38-year-old star opened up about their relationship as the couple were interviewed by Fearne Cotton for her new documentary series Fearne and McBusted.

Emma, who has been married to the McBusted star since 2008, revealed that she stuck by the singer through it all.

She said, “He went to rehab when I'd known him for three months. We hadn't known each other for very long and I was kind of in this whirlwind with him.

“You don't really think about it, then more time goes along and he went in again.”

A tearful Emma added,"This isn't a kid that needs a couple of weeks' break, it's someone who genuinely has a problem.

“I'm not going to leave him because he has a problem. You have to stick together and get through it.”

Matt was first admitted to The Priory in 2005 for alcohol abuse and was re-admitted in 2006 for an addiction to cannabis.

In 2008, the year the couple - who are now parents to Isabelle, four, and Ace, two - got married, Emma sent the star back to the clinic after his alcohol addiction got out of control.

The new fly-on-the-wall documentary sees Fearne chat to the band’s family and friends in a series of tell-all interviews.
