A 13-year-old girl has died after she was thrown from an amusement park ride.
The initial investigation showed that the girl’s seatbelt had broken and the ride’s safety bar was not fitted tightly enough.
Onlookers captured the tragic incident on their phones and the footage was carried by media outlets in the Fengdu area of China where the accident happened.
The footage showed the girl being thrown from the ‘Travel Through Space’ ride at the Chaohua Park and falling onto the iron railings surrounding the ride.
The teen was taken to a nearby hospital where she later died.
The parents of the girl have since reached a compensation agreement with the amusement park and have been awarded €117,750.
